Guitar Hero

About Me

Wanna be a Guitar Hero?

Despite what many people will tell you, I am by no means a pro at this game nor do I profess that I am "teh greatest evar" like some. I do; however, believe that I have a deep enough understanding of the game that I can pass on a few helpful tips if nothing else.

Below are a list of sections you can take a look at depending on your familiarity with the game and your skill level.

This guide covers Guitar Hero II(PS2), not Guitar Hero or Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s.

Once Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is released, I will update this guide accordingly.

Again, these aren't miracle tips just generally helpful hints and possibly helpful information.

  1. Getting Started
  2. Easy
  3. Medium
  4. Hard
  5. Expert

Getting Started

This section is simply for those who have never played Guitar Hero before. If you have just opened your first game and are completely clueless about how you should go about playing, this is the section for you.

Easy

So you've gotten the hang of the basic fundementals of how to play, now it's time for your first difficulty. This section will cover the more difficult sections of Easy mode, as well as other basic information you may or may have not gotten from Getting Started.

Medium

If it were up to me, this is where I would start. However, if you find this difficulty simply too hard there's no shame in starting on Easy (I did). I'm going to spend most of this section talking about Tier 8, which isn't available in Easy mode, as well as some of the harder songs.

Hard

If you thought Medium was hard, you're about to get severely messed up. Hard mode is where, I believe, the game really begins. If you can pass this difficulty, that's great. This guide will be much more in-depth than the previous three.

Expert

This is it young padawan. If you made it this far, you're almost ready to call yourself a Guitar Hero. Expert is leagues above Hard, so you're better off mastering Hard before attempting this monster. In-depth information for every song (minus bonus tracks for now).
